I LOVE my new(ish) red farmhouse table...LOVE IT! It's especially special because it sat in my friend Abbe's kitchen for several years before it made it's way to my house. You know what they say...One friend's lovingly used red farmhouse table is another woman's treasure....or something like that...
As much as I LOVE the table, there was something off about the whole setting. I'm not sure I would have originally paired the white bistro chairs with the red table, but they work somehow. Weird.
After way too many minutes of looking at the above picture, I figured out el problemo. The rug. It was too busy/formal/orange for my casual/rustic/toddler infested kitchen. So, I turned to trusty Overstock.com to find the perfect (read cheap) rug.
$69 + free shipping later, all was well in kitchen land.
It's not as soft as the other rug (it is sisal after all), but it durable, neutral, cheap, and I kinda love the fringe.
And don't worry your pretty little head about the other rug (because I know you are!), it has now found the perfect home in our basement. More on that later.
